My story

At the Beach

As someone who finds kindness and doing good very important, I wanted to start a brand that encompasses all my beliefs

The idea of 'a thread of kindness' was born out of a passion for the environment and a love of sewing and embroidery. I created the idea after leaving school and being stuck in a pandemic

where it's become apparent we need to focus more on appreciating everyone. This is especially true of people such as our key workers who selflessly work long shifts to help our community stay safe, satisfied and healthy.

Within the lockdown, after factories temporarily shut and co2 emissions reduced it was great to see local wildlife thriving and the earth was looking healthier. I feel it is important we look after our environment post-lockdown and try to minimise our carbon footprint for the benefit of everyone.

I decided to create an Etsy shop that sold clothing with original embroidery designs hand-drawn in my little home by the Jurassic coast in the South West of England.

Through these designs, I wanted to spread a message of being kind to each other and the environment. In a world full of large companies who churn out mass orders without worrying for the environment or customers, I wanted to create a small Etsy shop where each order is handmade with passion and personal touches to show I appreciate every customer.
